What is Class Council?

Class council is the makeup of the executive boards for each of the four current class years at St. Mary’s. When first-year students come in, their class is allocated a certain amount of starter funds from the SGA. From that point on, each class executive board every year works to build on these starter funds. This happens through fundraisers such as t-shirt sales, carnation sales, grilled cheese on the greens, etc.

The end goal for all class executives is to raise enough money by the end of Senior year to put on celebratory events. These events include 100 days (a small celebration one hundred days before graduation), 50 days (a larger, more formal celebration fifty days before graduation), and Senior Week events (most importantly: Gala). This is no easy feat for the Class Council, so make sure you support your class exec’s fundraisers if you’re able!
